Badgers players will be back on the practice field this weekend.
But the program will have to wait for the return of some other players.
The Badgers announced Friday that freshman cornerback Jelani Jenkins will be out for two to three weeks after suffering a hamstring injury during practice.
Jenkins, who started 14 games in his two years at Wisconsin, has been out since March 23.
That’s after the Badgers decided to hold out until after the spring football season.
Jenks missed the season opener against Nebraska with a hamstring strain.
It was the second time he had suffered a hamstring in his collegiate career.
The Badgers have been searching for a cornerback since the departure of Chris Borland last spring.
They will get a much-needed break on Friday, as they welcome three-star running back Jordan Williamson to campus.
Williamson has committed to play for Wisconsin.
He has been rated the No. 17 player in the state and No. 25 player in Wisconsin.
He has been a top-25 recruit in the nation by 247Sports.
