US recruiting company recruitment firm Imperial Recruiter has hired 1,100 more recruiters to help it expand its staff.
The firm said on Monday that it had also expanded its recruitment and development efforts by hiring a new vice president of recruitment and recruiting.
The expansion comes as the company continues to struggle with recruiting challenges.
Imperial Recruiters is looking to recruit a total of 1,500 more recruits for the 2017-18 school year, the firm said in a statement.
It added that the new vice-president would oversee recruitment and recruitment efforts at the firm’s US facilities.
The hiring comes as recruitment firms around the country struggle with staffing shortages, according to Recruitr, an online recruitment website.
Last week, Imperial Recruits said that its recruitment efforts had dropped significantly since the start of the school year and that it now had fewer recruiters than it did a year ago.
It said on its website that recruiting for schools in Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi had been hit the hardest, but said it was not alone in the region.
“Our recruiting efforts are impacted by a variety of factors, including the continued decline in the overall demand for recruiting services,” Imperial Recurr said.
“However, recruitment and retention is critical to our business, and we are working hard to ensure that recruiting services remain at the forefront of our recruiting efforts.”
