Tennis recruiting guru Steve Kerr says he’s one of the top-rated recruits in the country, and he’s the reason that Kentucky is in the Top 50 of recruiting rankings for 2018.
In his most recent recruiting report, Kerr says that he’s ranked No, 2, 4, 7, 9 and 13 in the 247Sports Composite, with his 247Sports.com composite ranking of No. 2, No. 4, No, 6, and No. 12.
He’s also the No. 10 prospect nationally.
Kerr was named the National Coach of the Year in 2018, and has been a national recruiter since 2014.
He previously served as the assistant coach for the national team at the Under-18 and U-20 levels, and worked as an assistant coach at the college and high school level for two years at the University of Kentucky.
As a high school coach, Kerr was named a two-time Coach of The Year by the Louisville Courier Journal, and a national assistant coach in his first two years.
He also served as an associate head coach at Virginia Tech.
Kerr played for the United States at the U-18, U-19, and U.S. Under-17 levels, but did not make an appearance in any of the tournament games.
In 2018, Kerr joined the USA Men’s National Team for the World Championships in Canada.
The United States won the gold medal, and the USA qualified for the 2019 World Championship in Russia.
