Alabama has one of the best class of the SEC in 2019.
The Crimson Tide have one of college football’s most prolific recruiting classes of all time, with 247Sports ranking the Tide at No. 1, with three-star recruits from all over the country.
The 2019 class is the most productive in school history, according to 247Sports, with six four-star commits in the class.
Alabama has four four-stars on the board, including four-time first-team All-SEC linebacker Jalen Hurts and four-year starter and two-time All-America cornerback A.J. Johnson.
Johnson was the first cornerback in Alabama history to play in three consecutive seasons.
He was also the first Crimson Tide to play as a true freshman and redshirt freshman.
Hurts, who will be the sixth defensive back in school annals, will be an early enrollee in the 2019 class, according, with ESPN’s Mike Clay reporting he is expected to officially visit Alabama in the next week.
Alabama is expected do an early visit to the New Jersey Lobster and the St. Louis Rams in the coming days, with the Crimson Tide expected to announce their 2019 schedule the following week.
The 2018 class is Alabama’s most productive, with 11 four- and four two-star commitments.
The Crimson Tide has six four and four three-stars in the recruiting class.
Hurley and Hurts are the only four-and-four commitments in the 2018 class, which is Alabama-only.
The other four commitments are defensive tackle Jake Evans, safety Mike Thomas, safety Jourdan Davis and safety T.J., who was the Crimson Tailback of the Year in 2019 after leading the SEC with 11 tackles for loss.
The 2017 class has the most four-sport commitments in school football history.
The Tide has five four-senior commitments, with four three-, four- or five-star prospects.
The 2019 class has four five-sports commitments, including three five-stars.
Alabama also has the No. 2 recruiting class nationally in 2019, with five five- and five- star recruits.
