Clemson’s ‘The Greatest Generation’ will be the best in the country in 2019

Clemson’s “The Greatest Generations” are set to be the top-rated recruits in 2019.

The Clemson Football recruiting class of 2019 has already topped the NCAA’s Top 25 rankings and is ranked No. 21 nationally.

The Tigers currently rank fourth nationally in the recruiting rankings and No. 19 nationally in’s composite rankings.

The 2019 recruiting class will feature six players ranked in the top 15 of 247Sports’ Composite Top 25 (No. 22 to 29).

It also includes a handful of underclassmen and juniors.

Five of the top 10 recruits in the 2019 class will be freshmen, including defensive tackle Deon C. Cooper, cornerback Demetrious Davis, defensive tackle Koa Trangah, safety Nick Stover and wide receiver Jake Davis.

Four of the players on the list are returning for the 2019 season, including linebacker D.J. Humphries and wide receivers Deon Johnson, Josh Davis and Devin Davis.

Five Clemson football players have already enrolled in 2019: quarterback Tyrod Taylor, defensive end Da’Quan Bowers, linebacker Mike Davis, linebacker Tyler Davis and defensive tackle Marques King.

Three of the Tigers top five linemen in the class are seniors: left tackle Joe Kruger, center Max Bullough and right guard Tyler Moore.

The recruiting class also includes three players with dual eligibility: cornerback Trevon Williams, defensive back Chris Conley and safety Jourdan Lewis.

The Tigers also have three players who are transferable from other programs.

Five Tigers have enrolled in 2018: running back Joe Harris, wide receiver James Butler and wideout Marcus Johnson.

The 2018 recruiting class includes five players who had committed to Clemson as early as January, three of whom are returning.

Three Tigers will return to the program next year: quarterback Trevon Thompson, wide receivers Koa Tua, Deon Davis and tight end Jordan Johnson.

Three players who will not be returning next season are offensive linemen Tyler Moore and D. J. Humphrys, who left for Auburn.

Four players who played for the Tigers last season are returning to the Tigers: quarterback Cody Prewitt, linebacker Koa Tura, linebacker Johnathan Thomas and defensive lineman Marques Johnson.
